OVERVIEW
The Station Retake option provides limited psychomotor re-examination for candidates who are eligible to retest specific skill stations under Connecticut requirements. Retesting is restricted to only those stations identified as unsuccessful on the original examination and must comply with current policies established by the Connecticut Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Candidates are permitted to retest only within the timeframe and attempt limits authorized by the state. All retested stations are evaluated using the same standardized scoring criteria and performance expectations as the full psychomotor examination. Successful completion of the approved retest station(s) is required to satisfy state certification requirements.
Each station is scored by certified examiners using standardized criteria from the Connecticut Office of Emergency Medical Services. Candidates must demonstrate safe, organized, and clinically appropriate performance aligned with state protocols and national EMS standards.
Successful completion of all five stations is required for certification eligibility.
